IME Software Solutions LLC
Designed and built a Microsoft ASP .Net web application that services the independent medical examination industry. Features include a
messaging, database and file synchronization with client/server application, PDF generation of new referrals and more. All
data and file transfer traffic is handled via a secure, encrypted connection. The entire application was designed to be HIPAA compliant.
Barton Malow Construction Inc.
Barton is a prominent general contractor who handles large scale construction projects that manages the building of schools, stadiums
and hospitals. This project involved a re-write of a J2EE application that handled the management and tracking of the bidding
process.
The new application was an ASP .Net application using SQL Server on the back end. Some of the other features included
a report portal using MS SQL Reporting Services, an in-memory virus scan solution for file uploads, messaging and administrative alerts.
Ceridian Inc.
This was a system scalability and performance remediation project. Tasks included re-write and
revision of ASP .Net and SQL Server application code. An employee benefit enrollment and claims processing application that needed
to handle 5000 concurrent users was timing out and failing at 1000 user connections. My role was to remediate VB .Net code, middle-tier COM
components, and SQL Server stored procs in order to increase scalability and decrease page-load time. Each section of the application was
analyzed to determine baseline performance.
After each page was remediated, metrics were published documenting massive reductions in server resources, along with dramatically improved
stability, scalability and performance.
Marketing & Sales Executives of Detroit
This project involved setting up a series of management reports using SQL Server Reporting Services then writing a program that
can be executed through a SQL Server job at pre-determined intervals. In order to generate the reports, we used the Web Services
interface for Reporting Services.
Jewish Renaissance Media
Created a graphic file management portal using ASP .Net. The application was used to
manage and file uploads used in magazine advertising. The application had to be compatible with all major browsers and security was
of paramount importance. There was also a back end administration system created used by JRM personnel which notified them when
a new document had been uploaded and which ad campaign it was for. This was accomplished using the messaging libraries in .Net
and SQL Server 2005.
400 Monroe Associates (Fishbones)
This project involved setting up a secure eCommerce Web Site for ordering carryout Sushi online. The application used an AJAX
enabled interface using the Telerik .Net control library that displayed an online menu and interactive shopping cart. Credit card
authorization was provided through interfacing with a third party service. The orders were then transmitted to the restaurant where
the orders were filled awaiting customer pickup.
A second phase was added to store customer preferences and order history, which allowed repeat customers to re-order previous
selections easily. Another feature was a gift card sales and tracking system. There was also a back end administrative application to
allow management to update pricing, specials, hours of operation and menu item selections.
Document Processing Systems Inc.
Created a document preparation solution for the mortgage industry. The architecture
consisted of Java, Oracle, Hibernate ORM, Struts MVC Web Framework and the Spring J2EE Framework. The application
development environment was Eclipse, builds were performed using Ant and testing was done through JUnit. Duties included
developing all application code including UI, data access and persistence layer as well as business logic.
Coordinated development activity using the Agile/XP Method while supervising 3 other developers, providing programming support,
assigning project tasks, code review, and security evaluations. Other duties included supervising a team which developed and
enhanced an electronic mortgage web application using PHP, Progress and MySQL. We also maintained a web application that utilized
C++ and CGI components running on Apache Server. This involved debugging and adding new functionality as required. There was
also a support role for legacy applications which utilized a mixture of PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, CGI, Delphi, Kylix and Java
Servlets.
Tetra-Tech Inc.
Management and coding a web application development project for a General Motors to track safety
incident and outages for their assembly plants. The architecture consisted of VB .Net, ASP .Net, and SQL Server 2000 database.
Duties consisted of designing the web UI, writing TSQL stored procedures and VB .Net code-behind pages for application.
Designed a reporting module which utilized XML/XSLT transform of SQL Server Data for formatting and printing.
Other functions included supervising 3 other programmers including support, training, testing and assigning tasks. On the project
management side, met with the customers regularly in order to define requirements, timelines and quotations using Microsoft
Solutions Framework methodologies.
